		<description>Thanks. I did in fact wonder what this Dell partition was and how to restore it on a new HDD.
I do have a copy of Ubuntu on a CD, but I am a little more acquainted with the SystemRescueCD. Used it some time ago to rescue a HP laptop that had its network card as the very last boot option (thin client) after its HDD crashed. I did spend some time in finding the right commands in SystemRescueCD before setting up another PC as a preliminary PXE server for the thin client, and now you saved me the time from having to find the right ones in giving a new HDD to my Dell machine.
