			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><strong>This is a semi-alphabetical list of boot flags (switches) I have seen associated with Hackintosh Kalyway and Zephyroth installs. To enter these switches on an install, boot from the DVD and press F8 when the boot screen appears. </strong></p>
<p>cpus=1 or cpus=2</p>
<p>-f ??</p>
<p>&#8220;Graphics Mode&#8221;=&#8221;640x480x32&#8243;</p>
<p>-legacy forces 32-bit run mode on 64bit processors</p>
<p>-s single user (?)</p>
<p>-system=x86PC some people call it platform=x86pc</p>
<p>tohkernel  // an alternate to the Vanilla kernel, at least in kalyway. Stopped the kalyway reboot loop on my P5W DH Deluxe. Now I have to specify it every time to get a boot.</p>
<p>-v Verbose booting (i use this as a default)</p>
<p>-x &#8220;Safe mode&#8221; boot; minimal drivers. Try it after a boot hang.</p>

<p><strong>Things I&#8217;ve tried (with no success!):</strong></p>
<ul>
<li> Switching to PATA. The PATA is recognized, but the SATA is NOT!</li>
<li>Disabling EVERYTHING in the bios that I can live without</li>
<li>Using the disk utility to re-format/re-partition the HDD; with little success. The disk utiliy wasn&#8217;t able to work with the SATA, but it did play with the PATA.</li>
<li>I am currently installing on a 2 partition scheme with PATA and using the boot option &#8220;cpus=1&#8243;.</li>
